In this class you will be using Precious metal clay to make lovely solid silver fingerprint jewellery.
Techniques covered in this class include:
How to take the fingerprints and make a mould
Working in Precious metal clay
How to set birthstones into the clay
How to polish and achieve a professional finish
Using patinas to bring out the prints
Information on hallmarking and legal requirements
Useful tips and suppliers
The class is taught by a professional jeweller with over 40 years of experience in making Jewellery and He is a Senior PMC (Precious Metal Clay) Instructor having trained with the PMC Studio, and will be on hand with plenty of hints and tips. This will provide you with all the practical information you need to go and make some fingerprint jewellery for friends and family at home.
This class normally follows three projects, designed to cover all areas of fingerprint jewellery. These are a silver charm, a pendant and a key-ring.
What you need to bring to this class:
For this class you don't need to bring anything but yourself as everything is provided.
All materials are included in the cost of the class as well as plenty of tea, coffee.
The classes are all run by our expert tutor with years of professional experience who is friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. The size of the classes are kept small to allow plenty of one-on-one attention, the maximum number of students for this class is 8.
